Bookkeeper:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for recording all financial transactions, including ACH and wire payments, into the correct general ledger and verifying their accuracy each day. This position will manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, generate regular reports for senior management, and oversee and reconcile financial transactions through various software programs. Our ideal candidate has worked as a professional Bookkeeper for at least three years and has experience managing large bank accounts.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Review financial transactions in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner and input into the accounting system.
- Perform all activities related to billing and invoicing, including managing accounts payable: reviewing, coding, and processing payments, including payments to vendors, and managing accounts receivable: invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition.
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as-needed basis.
- Prepare financial reports through the collection, analysis, and summarization of data.
- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions.
- Develop a system of defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Willing to be part of a team and work well with others.
- Work in a fast-paced office setting.
- Interact with Customers and exhibit strong customer service skills.
- Manage payroll and payroll functions, confirming all deductions are true and correct each month.
- Other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and QuickBooks
- Knowledge of payroll and bookkeeping principles
- Detail-oriented, with strong math skills, and able to execute efficiently.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledgers.
- Ability to produce work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Stron work ethic with ability to multi-task and self-motivated to ensure completion of tasks
- Professionalism, integrity, thoroughness, and a great attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and adapt to system or procedural changes as they arise.
- Strong computer skills as well as a working knowledge of technology.
