Senior Regional Sales Manager:
The Senior Regional Sales Manager drives revenue by cultivating high-value Vendor/Dealer accounts, managing a portfolio of long-term relationships with key equipment and commercial vehicle industry players, and expanding business networks. This role requires a deep understanding of equipment finance, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for proactively identifying new business opportunities and providing solutions that meet the unique needs of each Vendor/Dealer. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, a customer-first approach, and the ability to adapt to different customer needs and preferences.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Prospect and cultivate relationships with new and existing dealers/vendors and customers/end-users.
- Generate leads through networking, research, and outreach.
- Stay informed about the various financial products and services offered.
- Understand Jupiter's value proposition and communicate the features and benefits of Jupiter's equipment financing options.
- Establish trust and credibility through effective communication.
- Input and maintain accurate data for effective account management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Achieve originations and gross margin objectives.
- Collect and analyze financial information about customers' income, assets, investments, and debts.
- Provide customized financing solutions that meet the individual needs of customers based on their experience, assets, debt, and financial history.
- Assist small and mid-size businesses in securing funding by evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of different financial products.
- Deliver financing sales training to vendors/dealers regularly through sales meetings, conference calls, tradeshows, and scheduled one-on-one phone calls to educate them on Jupiter's value proposition and financing process.
- Establish strong business relationships with senior management and day-to-day contacts at established and newly developed vendor and end-user customers.
- Enhance financing program solutions for existing vendors and end-user customers.
- Attend trade shows nationwide as required and with specific objectives to capture leads, administer follow-up tactics, and enhance business relationships.
- Ensure that all new financing programs are correctly administered and communicated.
- Work closely with underwriters, credit analysts, and other internal teams to facilitate the financing process and achieve defined objectives.
- Ensure seamless communication between sales and operations.
- Adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and ethical sales practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred. Without a bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma or GED, and four (4) years of experience in commercial, small business, equipment financing, or related inside sales will be considered.
- 5 years of successful sales experience, specifically in originating equipment finance transactions or comparable experience at an F&I Department of an equipment dealer or the equipment finance department of a specialty lender or bank.
- Transferable book of business
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Salesforce preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to learn additional systems as required.
- Ability to research, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
- Well-developed negotiation, consultative sales, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to present information to different audiences effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
